Before Your Call

How to measure yourself.

Watch these clips before your video measurement call. Your boutique will guide you step-by-step — a Sewzo coordinator will be on the call too.

Tip: Wear fitted clothing, use a soft measuring tape, stand naturally, and keep the tape snug but not tight. Have a friend help if possible — your boutique will verify everything on the video call.

Stomach

Stand straight and measure around the fullest part of your stomach. Keep the tape level and snug, not tight.

Waist

Measure around your natural waist — the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.

Wrist

Measure around the wrist bone, where a sleeve cuff would sit. Keep the tape close to the skin.

Other measurements we may ask for

The call usually covers more than the clips above. These are the other sizes boutiques ask for most often.

  • Chest / Bust

    Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.

  • Shoulder

    Measure from the edge of one shoulder to the other, across the back.

  • Sleeve length

    From the shoulder point down to where you want the sleeve to end.

  • Hip

    Measure around the fullest part of the hips, about 7–9 inches below the waist.

  • Neck

    Measure around the base of the neck where the collar would sit comfortably.
